  3. I jumped ahead of myself on the numbering and sent yesterday's
  4. session as 8a.manuals.  Today's sessions will be numbered 7s.
  5.  
  6. In yesterday's 8a.manual, it was pointed out the correct directory
  7. is "pub/nic/network.service.guides" not "services" and not "guide".
  8.  
  9. I know all of you are getting around the Internet pretty
  10. comfortably, found that I made the above error, and were successful
  11. in getting the materials.
  12.  
  13. It looks as if the "INTERACTIVE" part of the workshop is not to be.
  14.  
  15. In the last workshop we use another listserv for people to
  16. subscribe to in order to ask, answer, and read questions. With
  17. 15,000+ this approach will not work.
  18.  
  19. Please save your questions.  After the U.S. holidays we will work out a
  20. peer listserv for questions and answers.

  36. that will produce a hit.

  159. I read the copyright law and I use the more command to read the
  160. Index file.

  169. If you know of a site with Lyrics or have any lyrics files floating
  170. around that you would like put in the archives, please mail
  171. ftp@ftp.uwp.edu. If you would like, you can ftp them here by
  172. placing them in /pub/incoming (please mail if you do...)

  174. Lyrics in the /files/misc directory are because I don't know the
  175. proper  place for them. If you know the artist, I will move them where they
  176. belong. (Assuming that you tell me who the artist is :-)

  178. If I have put a song in the wrong place, there are artist
  179. mis-spellings or alphabetization errors (tull.jethro instead of jethro.tull,
  180. etc.) or you find an album notated as a song, please tell me and I will
  181. correctly name/move the files.

  183. Many people have suggested that all the files should be split up
  184. as much as possible by song title. This would be nice but I don't have
  185. the time to split the files. If you want to download any of the files
  186. with "all" or "everything" or just misc collections of songs and
  187. re-upload them as seperate files, I would be happy to remove the merged files
  188. and replace them with the split ones.

  193. songs present
  194. - one-song files preferable to a misc file, if they don't make up
  195. any sensible
